Banish summer boredom with a trip through The Phantom Tollbooth. St. John’s Drama is delighted to present its summer production of The Phantom Tollbooth, adapted for the stage by Susan Nanus from Norton Juster’s classic novel. Perfect for audiences of all ages, this whimsical production follows Milo, a young boy who stumbles upon a mysterious tollbooth and finds himself transported to a fantastical world where words and numbers come to life. Along the way, he encounters unforgettable characters, faces unexpected challenges, and discovers that curiosity, learning, and imagination can transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. Performances will be held in Father Ruehl Hall at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 120 W. Main Street, Front Royal, VA 22630. Performance dates: Friday, July 17 at 7:00 PM Saturday, July 18 at 2:30 PM and 7:00 PM Sunday, July 19 at 2:30 PM Monday, July 20 at 7:00 PM Tickets are available at the door.
