Saturdays, May 6 & 13, 2023

11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

For beginner/intermediate artists, we’re going to be learning the basics of taking care of and drawing with dip pens. We’ll go over traditional and non-traditional inks and other mediums to use, what paper qualities to look for, storage options, and more. We’ll be going over common issues and ways to trouble shoot them. The end goal is to create your own illustration, during which I will assist with any issues or ideas to fill up the spaces, useful textures, etc. via live demos. Students are encouraged to practice outside of class time between sessions, and they will need to have a final sketch idea ready for the final class session to be able to have proper time to work on their illustration.

Please bring: note-taking tools of preference (i.e. notepad/sketchpad, pen/pencil)

*Pre-registration is required for Art School classes; classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Students will be registered ONLY on receipt of payment.
